Mera Peak Expedition

Duration: 19 Days

Mera Peak (6476 meters/21,247 feet) is one of the most popular peak climbing expeditions in Nepal, and rightfully so! If you want to summit a Himalayan peak, but do not have weeks to spend giving a shot at an 8000-meter peak, or if you simply do not know if you are ready for an 8000-meter peak, then the Mera Peak Expedition is perfect for you! From the glorious summit of Mera Peak, get jaw-dropping views of Mount Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8481m), and Kanchenjunga (8586m), five of the six highest peaks in the world! It is an experience unlike any other.

Not only does this package take you to one of the best mountain viewpoints in the world, it is also a world-class journey through the Solukhumbu (Everest) region of Nepal. Our itinerary is a little different because we fly to Phaplu instead of Lukla. Embarking on our foothill adventure, we pass from Sherpa village to Sherpa village, enjoying our time spent with the kind families.

The day of trekking from Kothe to Taknak takes us out of the forest and officially into the pristine alpine wilderness. We ascend even depper into the majestic Hinku Valley. Our camp spot is high up, but our excitement and spirits are even higher. A night at Mera Peak Base Camp (High Camp) (5780m), leaves us awestruck. Nothing beats sleeping in a tent, safe from the brisk mountain breeze. During this time, we give you the lowdown on the climb, including how to use the gear and what to prepare yourself for. You have nothing to worry about, we guide you through the whole summit process before and during the ascent.

Brace yourself for a mind-blowing view from the summit of Mera Peak. You can not only see the massive peaks mentioned before, but also into the vast valleys beyond the mountains in Tibet and Nepal. You may just tear up upon seeing this heart-stopping panorama. Snap some photos and head back down to Lukla, with a natural buzz from a successful summit attempt. Fly back to Kathmandu and relax until your flight home! We hope to see you again for another amazing adventure in the Himalayas.

You do not need mountaineering experience to take the Mera Peak Expedition. You need to be in good physical condition and most importantly, you should have a strong will and determination to make it to the summit. Please reach out to us if you are unsure whether you are fit for the adventure. Roar Himalaya Adventure arranges the expedition with full management.
